Are You at Risk For Cardiovascular Disease?

There are many ways to calculate whether you are at risk for Cardiovascular disease. The American Heart Association’s 2019 guidelines factor a history of premature menopause into CVD risk assessments. If that premature menopause is do to ovarian removal, or is spontaneous, you are pretty much equally at risk. Using hormone therapy as soon as you have premature menopause may actually be protective against CVD disease.
