Raynaud’s of the Nipple

Raynaud’s phenomenon affects about 20% of women in the reproductive age, and it’s a bit more common than that as women age.

Raynaud’s is a phenomena where the blood flow of arteries and small vessels close down due to cold, or stress, or cases of traumatic injury.

Raynaud’s mostly occurs in the fingers and toes, but has been discovered to affect the nipples.

Nipple or breast pain is the primary symptom of Raynaud’s of the nipple.

Since caffeine avoidance can help hand and foot Raynaud’s it can be helpful in some cases of nipple Raynaud’s.

If symptomatic avoidance of triggers doesn’t work you can be prescribed a medication.
