These Foods and Food Groups Improve Sexual Function

Any food that reduces your risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD) will improve sex.

The foods of legumes, vegetable proteins, and increased dietary fiber should improve sexuality through decreasing risk of poor blood flow and low tissue oxygen.

Processed red meat, unprocessed meat, and regular soft drinks increase the risk of PAD thus increase the risk for lower vaginal sensations, increased dryness, lack of effectiveness of hormones on your tissue.

No diet can be viewed in isolation, if your cholesterol is high, if you smoke, if your blood pressure is poor, and if you are unfit and don’t exercise, food changes alone may not be enough to improve vaginal health.

Improving sexual function and preserving sexual function is our area of expertise at Women’s Health Practice. We want to be your lifetime sexual wellness consultant.

The next time you cook up a meal, think about how you can make it just slightly healthier, over time, you and your partner will both notice benefits.
