Drinking Alcohol Is Good For this!

A little alcohol can help improve how your body’s cells respond to insulin and thus how effectively we process the consumption of sugar.

A large analysis of the Nurses Study, looking at thousands of women over 24 years and their self reported outcomes. This study is not a study of physiology, nor does it control for many of the factors that might really explain these findings. This study group only consumed one drink a week on average.

Some studies have shown wine is the better alcohol for diabetes prevention, this one favored beer!

Generally speaking women who had gestational diabetes (during pregnancy) are at greater risk of developing diabetes in the future.

Too much wine, beer, or alcohol on the other hand can cause diabetes among other bad side effects! Like all health advice, it has to be taken in context, and discussed with your personal physician.
