How to Moisturize Your Skin After Hot Yoga!

There was a new study that concluded most all moisturizer types are almost equally effective. And we do get asked what is the best way to moisturize your skin after hot yoga, and the real answer is to know a bit more about your normal skin health and routines.

Firstly, you need to clean your skin, even if you sprayed the top of your mat, likely you didn’t completely get all the bacteria count eliminated, and a good wash is the first stop.

Secondly, your product needs to absorb into your skin. That might be better for some with ointments rather than creams, and there may be a look and feel that also attracts you.

Ointments provide a bit of a better barrier, and if it’s winter and you’re getting out into the elements, then you may want something with a bit more thickness like that.

Be mindful of any irritation, since hot yoga brings circulation to your skin, it’s important you use something that doesn’t irritate your skin.

Moisturizers are not really designed as specific skin condition therapies, so it’s important that if you have any concerns like a rash or a breakout you get that properly diagnosed and treated.
