Many people have been tested, but in a study just released by <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007%2Fs11606-018-4436-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">USPT over half of those people with pre-diabetes and diabetes have been missed by current testing.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some of the newer thoughts by experts as to who should get tested, and we are suggetsting that earlier treatment is better to prevent pre-diabetics from becoming a diabetic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. If you are overweight, over a BMI of 25 you should be tested<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. If you do not exercise regularly you should be tested <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. If you had diabetes or any abnormal blood sugar in pregnancy, you should be tested<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. If you have sugar in your urine dip test you should be tested<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. If you have family members who are diabetic or pre-diabetic you should be tested<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. If you have PCOS you should be tested<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. If you have ever had a fasting blood sugar over 100 you are a pre-diabetic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. If you have ever had a Hba1c over 5.7% you are a prediabetic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.
