So it&#8217;s important to pay attention and figure out if you are losing your hair appropriately, or if something else is going on that you should consult your health care provider about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, is this your normal pace of hair loss? Accelerated pace of hair loss should be evaluated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is your hair loss in a symmetrical pattern? It might be androgenic alopecia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is your hair loss diffuse? The diagnosis could be telogen effluvium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is your hair loss focal in a patch? It may be the autoimmune disorder called alopecia areata. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blood work to see if hormones are out of balance is a very helpful next step. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Focal hair loss can go along with other chronic diseases that have autoimmune consequences such as certain types of diabetes or thyroid conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all lose hair.
