Endometriosis Pain Not Relieved By CBD or Marijuana

Very few studies of Endometriosis pain have involved CBD or marijuana. There are new medical treatments of endometriosis, and even fewer reports talk about combining the CBD treatments with the new medications.

It is possible that cannabinoids may effect the actual occurrence of endometriosis but so far it is unknown whether phytocannabinoids may modify endometriosis symptoms and development.

Endometriosis treatments aim to decrease the pains experienced, the long term fertility, and overall decrease in inflammation.

There are studies to indicate that the perception of pain as well as the actual development of endometriosis may involve the natural endocannabinoid systems in women.

A very small new study surveying members of the Endometriosis Association had almost no participation (1.4% of their members).

Of those who did respond about 30% of the group had tried a cannabis product.

Of those who had tried a cannabis product most said that it was moderately to very effective against endometriosis pain.

About 65% of the group had tried CBD and about the same level of effectiveness was reported regardless of stage of endo.

Even if you feel you are stable on a current therapy, so many new findings are bringing new choices to women, so remember to go for your yearly gyno visit and discuss your individual case.
