Hormone Therapy Shown to Benefit Your Muscles

Women as they age are more likely to have an upper back curvature problem called kyphosis. It’s a hunching that is part habit, part spinal issue and most often due to poor muscles.

It can be exaggerated by actual wedge fractures of osteoporosis in very frail or very elderly women, but that is actually less common than the rounding of the shoulders.

In the July 2018 issue of Menopause a new study looking at women as they age and the degree of upper spine curvature.

Women who had used hormone therapy the longest had the least amount of abnormal upper spine curvature.

Hormone therapy, in addition to being positive for bones, can actually have a positive effect on those paraspinus muscles, and help you stand tall!
